I hosted a Vision Board Workshop for Children at Allesley Hall Primary School on the occasion of Children's Mental Health Week
What’s Children's Mental Health Week
Children's Mental Health Week 2025 will take place from 3-9 February 2025. The theme/focus for 2025 is Know Yourself, Grow Yourself, with the aim to equip and empower children and young people across the UK to embrace self-awareness and explore what it means to them.
The aim is for children and young people to discover how getting to know who they are can help them build resilience, grow, and develop.
Allesley Hall Primary School
Allesley Hall Primary School is a mixed-gender community primary school located on Winsford Avenue in Coventry, West Midlands.
The school is led by Headteacher Mr. Duncan Cottrill, who emphasizes a nurturing and supportive environment where each child is valued and encouraged to reach their full potential.
What is a Vision Board?
A vision board is a visual representation of goals, dreams, and aspirations on a sheet of paper or board. It is typically created by assembling images, words, and phrases/affirmations that reflect what someone wants to achieve or experience in life. Vision boards are often displayed in a visible place as a source of daily motivation and inspiration.
On a deeper level, the Vision Board is a powerful tool to train the subconscious mind to manifest your goals and make positive thoughts habitual.
Some benefits of teaching Vision Boards to Children
1. Encourages Goal Setting
Vision boards help children articulate their dreams and aspirations by visualizing their goals. This fosters a sense of purpose and direction at an early age.
2. Encourages Positive Thinking
Vision boards focus on dreams, goals, and aspirations, helping children shift their attention toward what excites and motivates them. This fosters a positive outlook and builds hope for the future.
3. Boosts Creativity
Creating a vision board involves drawing, cutting, coloring, and assembling ideas. This taps into their creativity and artistic expression, making learning more engaging and fun.
4. Promotes Self-Reflection
Children get an opportunity to think about what truly matters to them, from academic goals to personal interests, helping them develop self-awareness and confidence.
5. Builds Focus and Motivation
Visualizing their goals helps children stay focused on what they want to achieve. Seeing their vision board regularly can motivate them to work harder and persevere.
6. Teaches Problem-Solving Skills
A vision board encourages children to think about the steps needed to reach their goals, promoting strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
7. Enhances Emotional Wellbeing
This activity allows children to express their feelings and dreams, which can be both therapeutic and empowering. It offers a break from academic pressures and helps children feel more relaxed and focused. By visualizing goals, children learn to focus on what they can control in their lives, helping them cope with challenges and setbacks more effectively. This sense of empowerment boosts emotional strength.
8. Improves Communication
Sharing their vision board with peers or teachers helps children articulate their ideas and dreams, improving their communication and presentation skills. 8. Encourages Collaboration In a group workshop, children can inspire each other, learn from others' goals, and work together, fostering teamwork and social skills.
9. Encourages Gratitude and Optimism
As part of the process, children often reflect on what they already have and what they’re grateful for, which nurtures a mindset of appreciation and positivity.
10. Integrates Fun with Learning
It’s an engaging, hands-on activity that combines creativity with personal development, making it a memorable and meaningful experience.
Why is the Vision Board Workshop considered an empowering activity for School Children?
Vision board workshops can inspire children to dream big, work hard, and stay motivated—all while having fun!
Vision board workshops are more than just a fun activity—they provide children with a safe, creative outlet to explore their dreams, feel empowered, and nurture their mental health in a positive way.
I always say "If you can see it, you can manifest it". It is important for children to take time and put their dreams together. Especially in a School setting, where children can come together to think about their dreams and goals and create together in a safe and supportive environment.
Why MUST the Vision Boarding, visualisation, affirmations, journalling, and other manifestation practices be included in the School?
Why not? Manifestation is not a "woo-woo word" or mystical concept. Manifestation simply means 'to make it happen'. It’s often misunderstood. But at its core, it’s rooted in psychology, focus, and intentional action.
Manifestation doesn’t mean just wishing for something and sitting back. It’s about setting clear intentions and aligning your daily actions with those goals. Small, consistent efforts lead to progress.

"If doing yoga and meditation is normal; so is vision boarding, visualisation, affirmation, journalling, and other manifestation techniques. It is all for the wellbeing of mind, and to help live a more positive life."
Manifestation is about clarity and action
It’s the process of identifying what you want in life and taking focused steps to achieve it. When you align your mindset, energy, and habits with your goals, you naturally start working toward them.
Science supports Manifestation
Concepts like the reticular activating system (RAS) in the brain show how focusing on specific things makes you more aware of opportunities and resources related to those goals.
For example, when you think about buying a certain product, you suddenly start noticing it everywhere. The same applies to goals—when you're focused, your brain filters the world to align with those priorities.
Athletes use mental imagery to visualize themselves succeeding. Great speakers practice in front of the mirror before their big day. This isn’t magic—it’s psychological preparation. Vision boards and manifestation work the same way, helping people focus and mentally rehearse success.
By focusing on positive outcomes, you reinforce the belief that you can achieve them. This creates confidence and reduces self-doubt, motivating you to take action.
Why MUST Manifestation techniques be taught at an early age to children?
Teaching manifestation techniques to children early on is life-changing because their subconscious mind is still forming, making them more open to positive beliefs, confidence, and success-driven habits. When kids learn how to direct their thoughts, emotions, and energy, they gain a powerful advantage in life.
At an early age, children's subconscious mind absorbs everything like a sponge, without questioning it. If they are taught positive beliefs, visualization, and affirmations early, these become their default mindset for life.
Many adults struggle with negative thinking and self-doubt because they were never taught how to manage their mindset. When kids learn manifestation techniques (affirmations, gratitude, visualization), they develop emotional intelligence and resilience. This helps them stay calm, focused, and confident, even when facing challenges.
More about me and why I am so passionate about Manifestation
I am Pallavi Prasad, an award-winning Manifestation and Mindfulness Coach.
I am also a Reiki and pranic healer; as well as the author of Bedtime Prompts.
I have over 15 years of practical experience in manifestation. I have manifested innumerable things, traveled around the world, and attracted like-minded into my life. One such incredible story about manifesting every single thing from my vision board for my first baby was a piece of big news in the media.
Post-lockdown, I found my purpose and followed my true calling to help others live their dream lives with manifestation techniques.
I have been coaching children, families, companies, and communities with tools such as vision boards, subconscious reprogramming, raising vibrational energy with elements of nature, journaling, affirmation, and gratitude practices.
What makes me unique?
I strongly believe that we can not manifest a dream life full of vitality and positive life all 24/7 with just our minds. Mind, body and soul - all three needs to be in alignment for us to have a high vibe life.
My practical knowledge of energy techniques such as Reiki and Pranic healing has helped me understand the energetics behind our thoughts, feelings, and their manifestations in everyday life.
My unique expertise lies in creating a manifestation lifestyle (and not just a one-off coaching programme) that's simple and easy to incorporate into every day.

"Manifestation is a life skill that everyone needs to learn. Any story can be rewritten by thinking positively. Every day can be an opportunity to find ecstatic moments."
I have previously written to Rishi Sunak when he was the Prime Minister, and the education department requesting to include some of the manifestation techniques in the School education system. They wrote back to say that it was up to the School to take any additional activities such as vision boards.
I am driven to educate the young ones. If these positive thinking tools such as gratitude, affirmations, vision boards, and visualisation are introduced in the early stages of children’s lives, they become habitual - a positive habit that they can carry on throughout their life. It also helps build their belief system on positive thinking.
So here I am, taking steps for the seeds of my pure intent to grow into a beautiful tree of the world.
I host online classes for children on manifestation techniques and chakras, along with one-to-one coaching and in-person events throughout the year.
I am grateful to Allesley Hall Primary School for taking the initiative to facilitate this Workshop. I hope that in the future, many other Schools will follow this path to help nourish children's mindset with manifestation techniques.
